DJ grew up east of LA in Redlands, California for all of his life. He heard about Jesus off and on as a child, but never gave it much more thought than that. During his college years at Cal Poly Pomona, DJ met a great group of students & staff of the local Cru chapter. It was through this organization DJ placed his trust in Jesus and started following him. After graduating with a BS in biology, DJ spent 9 years working with Cru. He met his wife Alisha through Cru and, before moving to Studio City to start our church, they worked together at the University of Arizona. DJ received his Master of Divinity from Gateway Seminary in 2020. He loves LA, movies, technology (especially Apple), great coffee, sports (Go Lakers, Raiders, Dodgers, & Arizona Wildcats!), and growing in his knowledge of Jesus. DJ also loves being a father to his and Alisha's two children, Piper and Zane. You can contact him on personal Twitter, Facebook, or by email.

Steve Cabrillos
Pastor - Leadership Team
Steve is from Burbank, California. He grew up going to church and heard all the Bible stories, but barely understood everything it was about, especially about Jesus Christ. He attended Cal Poly Pomona for college and got involved with a Christian organization called, Cru. And it was through the people in Cru that he began to understand the Bible more and who Jesus was & what he did. Also, while in college he also met his wife, Andrea, through Cru. Steve graduated with a degree in Philosophy in 2006, and after he graduated he worked with Cru at the University of Arizona with his wife Andrea. After 5 years on staff with Cru, God moved them back to LA to help start Anthology Church in Studio City. He received his Master of Divinity from Gateway Seminary in 2019. Steve loves this city and the people here. He also loves sports (especially basketball), the Lakers, fantasy football (I'm obsessed), traffic (not really), music, playing guitar and great conversations over coffee. You can contact him on Twitter, Facebook and email.

Alisha Jenkins
Leadership Team - Strategic coordinator - administrator
Alisha grew up in Ridgecrest, California a small desert town in Southern California. She went to Fresno State where she met some girls in a Christian sorority and for the first time in her life, saw peers who loved Jesus. Along side them, she began to discover how God's story impacts and changes lives. Shortly after that she got involved in Cru on campus and really began to grow in her new faith. After graduating with a degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders she joined staff with Cru and was placed at Cal Poly Pomona where she met her husband DJ. They served there for 7 years, until God called them to Tucson, Arizona to work with Cru at the University of Arizona. While in Tucson they were blessed with their daughter Piper and became avid WildCat Fans. After 12 years on staff with Cru, God moved them again back to So Cal to pursue starting a new church in Studio City. In 2016, DJ and Alisha adopted their son Zane from China. Alisha loves crafts, cooking, party planning, sports, and spending time with friends & family. She loves strategic planning and leadership and is excited to be apart of the team helping start this new church in Studio City. You can contact her by email.

Becky McCann
Leadership Team - children’s coordinator
Becky was born & raised in Costa Mesa in Orange County, California. From the time she was born, her parents taught her about the life of Jesus and what it would mean to dedicate her life to Him. While attending Cal Poly Pomona, Becky joined Cru, a Christian organization on campus, through which she was given the opportunity to serve and minister around the world. Between her church involvement and her employment with Cru, Becky has participated in missions' work in Mexico, Kazakhstan, Kenya, and the Middle East, in addition to several years in Southern California. After 9 years on staff with Cru, God called her back to Los Angeles to join the team starting Anthology. Becky loves being on the go, keeping herself busy with activities ranging from ultimate frisbee to stand up paddle boarding to rock climbing and anything in between. She also enjoys painting, baking, cooking, and strategy board games. Her love for children and desire to invest in the future is what fuels her passion for developing the children's programs at Anthology and she is excited to be a part of this team in Studio City.
